Our decision to work on this project as an external project with EREA and their partnership with SISENSE has been key to our success. EREA brings both retail expertise and data analysis experience, and functions as an extension of our internal team interacting with our category managers, marketing team, our systems team, our supply chain team and our consumer goods suppliers.
"Having this information at my fingertips, in real time, gives me the ability to control inventory, negotiate with suppliers, and adjust prices to maximize value for my customers. With that knowledge, my business becomes more competitive compared to other retailers. It also inoculates my customers against future competition from electronic retailers like Amazon. In markets like the U.S., retail branches and real estate are sometimes seen as a kind of burden. This technology makes my real estate a major asset, allowing us to build the kind of customer relationships that are only possible in a face-to-face environment.
